3 Marketing Components Advertises should never Overlook

in Marketing

Sure, marketing is a tough job. There are a lot of things to look into—marketing copy, materials to use, budget, target audience, distribution, and many more. These can all take a lot of time and effort from the business owner. But sometimes, in their desire to reach as many customers and prospects as possible, there are important marketing components that are ignored. These are components what they should keep an eye for if they want to achieve marketing success. Failure to do so will only hasten the demise of the business.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at the vital marketing components that every business owner should never ignore when marketing their small business:

Call to action. If upon reading your promotional rack cards, flyers, or sales sheet customers are left wondering what you want them to do next, chances are you’ll never get any customer walking into your store to make a purchase. The call to action is an integral part of any ad. After making all the pronouncements and claims, this is what you want your prospective customers to do. It can be to call you, send you an email, visit your website, or drop by your store. You don’t have to tell your customers to do all these. Just give them one good option which you are sure will be favorable to them and you’ll surely get their immediate response. Remember that call to action is important so don’t forget to include it in every ad you create.

Differentiation. Do you know what makes your company different from your competitors? If so, is that reflected on your ads? Standing out is crucial in today’s market environment in order to create a highly visible campaign.

Sure, you have good customer service and you have years of experience to back you up. But these reasons have been thrown around so much that they no longer mean anything to customers. Dig deeper so you can effectively state your difference to the rest of the businesses out there. Be sure to offer a real difference so you can easily gain people’s attention and interest.

Repetition. Business owners often associate repetition to cost. Because they need to consistently send their marketing materials to customers in order to stay visible to them, this translates to a hefty investment. However, there are practical options to producing marketing materials these days. One good option is to look for discounts. Almost all printing companies today—online or offline—offers discount coupons. This can range from discounts on rack cards to postcards, flyers, and stationery. With such discounts, there’s no reason for companies not to promote repeatedly to their customers and prospects.

Aside from the cost, others think that repeated promotion can be annoying. But in today’s highly saturated market, getting remembered means staying visible to customers. While it can be a bit annoying to repeatedly send ads to customers, you have better chance of getting remembered. That’s better than being too nice and people forget about you at once.

With everyone else is doing their best effort to stay visible to people these days, do your own strategy to stay on top of people’s mind. Don’t forget to practice the three important marketing strategies mentioned above. Do them and you’ll easily set your business apart from the competition.
